Re: The Magic Theatre

Have we just reached a new level for how wonderful music can actually be? It's some of the most magnificent stuff I've ever heard.

Go Compare

Doesn't that guy on the Go Compare insurance comparison website advert look rather like a young Dan Popplewell?

I absolutely agree with you Chantal. Bees and Sur La Plage are two of my favourites too. Heavy Duty is a great example of the less soulful end of the Ooberman spectrum, and I think it's bloody teriffic. There's so much more to Ooberman's music than just the sounds that you like though, and if you on...

Seems a bit shallow of you. If you want music to make you smile, Ooberman is not it. Listening to Ooberman just because it sounds pretty is a bit like having sex with the girl of your dreams, just to get off of the carpet. This is real art, real feeling, real emotion; yet you only want the easy bit ...

you hadn't seen Terminator 2 until last year? I had. I just didn't have a need for such an item until I took charge of the organisation I work with. Thanks Chantal, you're a star. I appreciate the offer greatly, and it's nice to know that someone will help; but I have family doing it for me this ti...

In short, it's a 16-bit palm-PC, from games-console makers Atari. > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Portfolio Not very impressive in terms of numbers, not by today's standards; but a lovely and very useful thing. I've had an Atari Portfolio shaped hole in my life for about a year, and though I've...

Dan's Africa Soundtrack

Good God, it's good! A complete opposite of the chilling, icy Snow Queen. The Africa album is often warm and bouncy, moments of intricate intensity sit in vast open fields of sounds. There's a beautifully blended range of styles, from sounds of The Prodigy to Final Fantasy, with a very slight influe...

if you've worked out time travel, couldn't you go back and change the timeline so that you're some kind of super genius? you could write all the Ooberman songs before they were born just to be mean. It only works in theory, and even the theory requires a piece of technology that I cannot afford to ...

If I was born ten years earlier I would be "the way" - I got the same thing with science, I came up with loads of great ideas, thought up the most part of string theory all on my own in primary school, l worked out time travel, relative perpetual motion, and all sorts, only to find out that the thin...

Earlier in the year I came up with Apocalypso, only to find that it was a famous book. I suppose I still got Guitarriffic and Wikipedophile. Oh, and peanut bastard.

Thanks, Chantal.

I made a great new word!

Honestly, from the wrong side of a bottle of wine, this really does appear to need its own thread.

I made a new word. Get this:
